Nostalgia se situe dans une ambiance bien plus blackgaze que ses prédécesseurs (surtout sur "Lebensmüde"). La beauté de cet album, c'est qu'il n'invite pas à se morfondre dans la tristesse pour autant. Pas de retour en arrière parce que la vie continue. Magistral.

Dans The Density Parameter, Mesarthim reprend tous les ingrédients qui font leur marque de fabrique : des pistes assez longues au rythme énergique (très palpable sur "Recombination" par exemple) et jouant sur des structures cycliques, un chant qui erre parmi les étoiles... Les ambiances sont prolifiques mais elles changent la donne : gracieuses, certes, mais surtout plus mélancoliques qu'autrefois. The Density Parameter est un peu la dernière bouffée d'oxygène que donne la combinaison spatiale. Jordan Vauvert

Mesarthim s'est déjà fait la main sur du format à la durée conséquente par le passé au cours de quelques singles. Mais avec ses deux parties de vingt minutes chacune, Ghost Condensate étend l'idée jusqu'à en faire un album et le jugement est irrévocable : Mesarthim envoie ici parmi ses plus belles transmission de black metal cosmiques. Les éléments issus de l'electro et de la trance sont plus discrets, le sentiment de liberté euphorique s'efface et l'atmosphère est suffocante. Une merveille ! Jordan Vauvert
